Touching Grass
A two-person exhibition, Alex Moni-Sauri and Oscar Pearson
July 2026, Geheim Gallery, Bellingham, WA
"Touching Grass" gathers paintings, drawings, and sculptures by artists Alex Moni-Sauri, and Oscar Pearson that reconnect our common senses with the earth, other mammals, and the rhythms that shape our lives. Breath, pulse, blood, and play move through the exhibition as shared experiences across bodies. Large paintings invite viewers to move across their surfaces, rhythmically shifting between abstraction and representation, while sculptural and drawn figures listen, recline, and encounter insects and animal remains with curiosity. The works invoke sensory immersion and sustained attention, drawing focus to the vast interspecies exchange that human life is embedded in.
